In this presentation, I will introduce our recent studies of the nonreciprocal transport, which is the intrinsic rectification effect originating from symmetry breaking, in a variety of noncentrosymmetric van der Waals nanostructures. I will discuss the universality, characteristic behaviors, and the microscopic mechanism of the observed nonreciprocal transport. I will also talk about the anomalous photovoltaic effect, which can be understood as one of the nonreciprocal transport, and future perspectives.
