These days, the development of further sensitive terahertz(THz) detector has been demanded for industrial application of THz imaging or sensing. Our THz detectors are based on Carbon Nanotube(CNT) and detect THz wave by photo-thermoelectric effect. So, sensitivity enhancements can be realized by increasing the THz-induced temperature difference in CNT. In this work, we newly combined micro Peltier modules as coolants with a conventional CNT detector, and successfully enhanced the sensitivity in the THz wave detection by a factor of 4 through keeping much higher temperature difference in this detector and confirmed responsiveness to THz wave in the broadband.
