▲ [20p-E215-3] Imaging characteristics of gradient-index array containing tilted element
Keywords:Gradient-Index lens, lens array, lens alignment
An array of Gradient-Index (GRIN) is used in light sources of LED printers. We clarify how alignment accuracy of GRINs in the array affects imaging uniformity. A ray matrix is used to calculate ray shift through the GRIN which has different object distance or is tilted. We compare the ray shift with the different object distance to that with the tilted GRIN. The image by the tilted GRIN shifts laterally. The image shift with the tilted GRIN is several times larger than that with the different object distance of the GRIN.
