[20p-E307-1] Development of semiconducting polymers for high-efficiency organic photovoltaics: crystalline or amourphous?

Itaru Osaka1 (1.Hiroshima Univ.)

Keywords:photovoltaics, organic photovoltaics, semiconducting polymers

Development of the light-absorbing materials is a critical issue in improving the efficiency of organic photovoltaics. Recently, the use of non-fullerene small molecules instead of familiar fullerene derivatives as the n-type material, in combination with semiconducting polymers as the p-type material, has dramatically raised the efficiency. In this presentation, I will introduce the recent advance in the development of new polymers carried out in our group by focusing on the crystallinity of the polymers and matching with acceptors.
