[20p-E318-12] Influence of Uniaxially Anisotropic Hopping on Higher-Order Topological Insulator

Shiryu Komori1, Kenji Kondo1 (1.Hokkaido Univ. RIES)

Keywords:higher-order topological insulator, topological insulator

"Higher-order topological insulators (HOTIs)" have attracted many researchers. This is because HOTIs are new types of topological insulators (TIs) that have the gapless boundaries of codimension greater than 1. Shindler et.al constructed the model of 2nd-order chiral TIs. However, in the case of anisotropic systems, the model have not been yet investigated to our knowledge. In this study, we address the model with uniaxially anisotropic hopping strength in the z-direction and investigate the topological phase using Wilson loop method.
