[20p-PA6-12] Wavelength switchable EDF laser using cascaded long period fiber grating

Wavelength switchable EDF ring laser have been fabricated by using a cascaded chirp long period fiber grating (C-CLPG) as a wavelength selection element and investigated in terms of its oscillation characteristics. In this configuration, programmable variable optical attenuator (VOA) have been employed to adjust the intra-cavity loss of the laser and realize the wavelength-switching operation. In the experiment, output wavelength stability of ~0.08 nm was demonstrated.
