The PbS square superlattices, form new band structures, which are different from either the 2-Dimensional PbS nanosheets or 0-Dimensional PbS NCs. We experimentally confirmed a 4-fold degeneration of the first conduction band in the PbS square superlattices by both EDLT measurements and spectroelectrochemistry, where a total of 8 electrons/NC is injected into this 1Seband.Furthermore, a quantized transport of low dimensional materials is also observed in this unique band structure formed in PbS square superlattices. The band structure studied here provides basic parameters (energy levels, band filling properties, mobility values) to design emerging electronic devices based on the PbS square superlattices.
