[21a-E203-9] Yellow-orange optical pulse generation by direct second-harmonic conversion of semiconductor laser pulses

Yellow-orange optical pulse is helpful in the detection of yellow fluorescent protein (YFP) and green fluorescent protein (GFP) in stimulated-emission-depletion (STED) microscopy. This report discussed the generation of yellow-orange optical pulse based on a direct second-harmonic (SH) conversion of 1.2µm optical pulses. The peak-power of SH pulse can be improved by two order of magnitude. This method is applicable on a practical, compact and powerful STED light source.
