[21a-E207-1] Non-classical Interference of Two-photon Number State in Asymmetric Interferometers

Kazuyuki Muroo1, Masaki Odagiri1, Shun Ogura1 (1.TUAT)

Keywords:two-photon number state, non-classical interference, asymmetric interferometer

Non-classical interference of two-photon number states is governed not by classical wavelength but by photonic de Broglie wavelength. This phenomenon can be explained by quantum-mechanical behavior of the phase factor of electric field operator of light, but the role of the amplitude factor has not been elucidated. In order to clarify the role of the amplitude factor, asymmetric interferometers with different intensities of lights to be superimposed and interferometers utilizing evanescent lights, in which the roles of the phase and amplitude factors are changed each other, are necessary.
