[21a-E302-7] Eu concentration dependence of thermal and photo reduction for Eu ions in KSrPO4 and KBaPO4
Keywords:Europium, Photo reduction, Phosphates
Eu ions in the oxide can be stabilized to be divalent by reduction treatment. The reduction has been usually carried out by heat treatment in reducing atmosphere (thermal reduction). On the other hand, we have found that irradiation of a laser in liquid reduces Eu ions (photo reduction). However, the efficiency of photo reduction is much lower than that of thermal reduction. Therefore, we investigate the Eu concentration dependence on thermal reduction and photo reduction and compare the dependences in order to clarify the reason of the lower efficiency.
