[21p-E204-3] Characteristic Analysis of Improved EO Polymer / Plasmonic Optical Phased Array

We have proposed plasmonic optical phased array using electro-optic polymers.So far, the POPA has been constituted by using phase modulators having two 90 ° curved waveguides,but it has been difficult to lay out the waveguide with more waveguides.Therefore, in this device, POPA is constituted by using linear phase modulators with a narrow polymer width.We report on numerical calculation that the device can scan the output light within the range of 90 degrees or more by voltage control at the wavelength of 1.55μm.
