Iterative spatial cross modulation (ISCM) is a method for generating an arbitrary complex wavefront. However, in ISCM, the input beam is assumed to be a plane wave having a uniform intensity distribution. In this research, we propose an improved algorithm for ISCM, leading to adapt to the input beam having the Gaussian intensity distribution by improving the constraint in the iterative process. Numerical simulation assuming that the converted beam is coupled into a six-mode fiber shows that highly accurate mode conversion from a Gaussian beam to LP11e is successfully performed with 27 dB lower modal crosstalk than the conventional algorithm.<iframe border="0" frameborder="0" height="80" name="weblioExtensionsFrame" scrolling="no" src="//api.weblio.jp/act/quote/v_1_0/e/?q=Gaussian&type=emicro&opul=chrome-extension%3A%2F%2Foingodpdjohhkelnginmkagmkbplgema%2Foptions.html" style="font-size: 16px;" width="380"></iframe>
