[21p-E310-9] Theoretical analysis of photon-recycling effect on external quantum efficiency of radiation

In this presentation, we numerically calculate the external quantum efficiency of radiation (EQE) of semiconducting crystal and discuss the effect of photon-recycling on the EQE. The photon-recycling effect significantly enhances the EQE when the radiative recombination is dominant. On the other hand, the increase of carrier diffusion length by the photon-recycling suppresses the EQE.
