Keywords:plasmon, strong coupling, surface enhanced Raman scattering

The exchange rates of photon between plasmon resonance and molecular resonance at the gap of metallic nanoparticle dimers, which generate surface enhanced Raman scattering, exceed their dephasing rates, resulting in strong coupling systems. Under the strong coupling regime involving small number of molecules, modulation of excited molecular electronic states may not be negligible, suggesting the generation of unique photochemical reactions. Thus, absorption spectroscopy of the strong coupling system is needed for the evaluation of such reactions. Thus, we develop absorption cross-section spectroscopy of single strong coupling system to realize the evaluation.
