We realized a simple method to fabricate a magnetic micro stir bar with inexpensive material compared with the conventional fabrication methods. In this study, as an application example of the fabricated magnetic micro stir bar, we demonstrated stochastic removal of one of the flagella of unicellular green alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii with the fabricated magnetic micro stir bar. This method provides a kinematic analysis of C. reinhardtii with one flagella, and enables a study for observing both translational and revolution motion of the same individual.
