[10p-PA2-16] Measurement of plasma-generated OH radicals delivered area using a gel containing terephthalic acid
Keywords:Plasma-on-Chip, OH radicals, Cell
A non-thermal atmospheric pressure plasma (NTAPP) can generate reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS) under ambient conditions. Since RONS can activate or inactivate cells, the NTAPP has been used in biomedical applications. We have developed a microdevice, Plasma-on-Chip to analyze plasma treatment at single cell level. Among the RONS, OH radical exert high oxidative stress on cells. In this study, we measured the area of OH radical delivery from the plasma-exposed gas-liquid interface.
