In this work, we directly probed local structure of α-6T/F16CuPc heterointerface, where the interface structure has been believed to be disordered, employing scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). The STM measurements revealed that α-6T molecules penetrate into the ordered F16CuPc monolayer and a disorder phase is formed where α-6T and F16CuPc are molecularly mixed. As a comparative experiment, we probed local structure of α-6T/CuPc heterointerface. The STM measurements revealed that the phase separation of α-6T and F16CuPc was occurred. Therefore, it is considered the strength of intermolecular interaction is important to form the disorder phase. In this talk, we will discuss the effect of molecular size and flexibility on the disordered organic heterointerface by comparing the STM results of α-6T/F16CuPc interface with 6P/F16CuPc interface.
