Keywords:Application of plasma for agriculture

We carried out the plasma treatment, such as direct irradiation and plasma-treated solutions, with strawberry plants during the cultivation in the greenhouse at Kota Town, Aichi. The results indicated that the content of antioxidant in the fruits from the plasma-treated area were significantly higher than those in control fruits. There are many reports that the ingestion of antioxidant substances suppresses diseases such as cancer and diabetes. Therefore, it is expected that as a new agricultural technology to produce the high-value-added fruits with cold plasma.
