In the era of mass production and mass consumption of sensor devices, biodegradable electronic elements could play an important role in the development of disposable and eco-friendly devices. Nanopaper fabricated by drying of a water dispersion of cellulose nanofiber is a promising substrate for the biodegradable electronic devices thanks to the high surface smoothness, heat resistance, flexibility, high dielectric constant, and biodegradability. In this study, we fabricated and characterized capacitors with nanopaper dielectric layer. From our result, nanopaper is suitable to prepare high-performance capacitors and the nanopaper capacitor has the potential to the realization of the green IoT devices.
