Since spatio-temporal crystallization was demonstrated by optical trapping at solution surface in 2007, exploratory studies in optical trapping at interfaces have been carried out extensively for the preparation of molecular and nanoparticle assemblies. Here, we applied optical trapping to precursors of hybrid perovskite compounds that are one of the most promising classes of semiconductor materials for next generation optoelectronic devices. We report on crystallization and halide exchange reaction of the hybrid perovskite induced by optical trapping at the solution surface and the crystal interface, respectively.
