We have studied remote non-destructive testing based on HTS-SQUID and ultrasonic guided wave. In this work, we investigated non-contact testing method based on magnetization of a part of target ferromagnetic pipe itself, in order to set up magnetostriction-based guided wave transducers combining with HTS-SQUID. Two-dimensional electromagnetic field simulator was used to propose the magnetization method to magnetize a certain part of a nickel pipe uniformly toward circumference of the pipe using a pair of electromagnets.
