[12a-PA1-6] Optical evaluation of milk based on photoluminescence

Keywords:Photoluminescence, Milk, Photodegradation

PL spectra from milk are evaluated using UV LED, blue LED and violet LED. Intensities of green colored PL peaking at 545 nm decreases gradually with irradiation time due to the photo-degradation. PL intensities vary also with the fat concentrations of the specimens due to the optical scattering. PL intensity from milk can be measured without influences of the scattering and the photo-degradation under modified measurement conditions.
