We report on the cooling capacity associated with the cryogenic quantum electron optics test bed, which will allow us to develop a superconducting electron optical component to improve electron cryomicroscopy. The temperature increase at the cooling stage of a pulse-tube refrigerator is determined as a function of heat input generated by a heater comprising a manganin wire. We compare the result with corresponding data obtained with the refrigerator operated without the electron optics test bed.
