Nanoparticles have many useful properties that can be utilized in various applications. There is an urgent demand for setting up a standard method to evaluate, detect and characterize a single nanoparticle. Solid-state nanopore has found as a wide range of uses sensor for single molecule analysis including DNA, protein and polymer due to its high stability, high sensitivity and easy control. This technology becomes to be used for viruses and nanoparticles detection recently.
To enhance nanopore recognizing nanoparticles physical characteristics. In this study, some basic geometric shape of nanoparticles have been chosen to experiment the translocation behavior in nanopore which based on understanding of the ionic current blockades is affecting by the nanoparticle surface charge, shape and size. Combining the measured data and simulated result can help us to understand a single nanoparticle characteristic.
