In the present study, we have tried to observe interaction between a surface plasmon (SPP) and planer waveguide (PWG) modes in a single organic crystal. Because of a large optical anisotropy of the crystalline thin film, it can be expected to give rise to large plasmon effects. For this purpose, samples of SiO2/ Ag / anthracene crystal / air / Ag / SiO2 containing anthracene crystal and air layer between metal mirrors were prepared and the interaction between the SPP and the PWG modes was observed. Angle resolved transmission spectra of the sample was measured in index matching oil.
