We have developed a new method of tuning sensing properties of magnetic sensors using magnetic tunnel junctions. Previous study has reported that only first effective anisotropy field (Hkeff) is an intrinsic factor for controlling sensitivity and linearity, however, both sensing properties are in the trade-off relationship against Hkeff, resulting in a lack of either sensitivity or linearity. Then we focused on second order anisotropy field (Hk2) and successfully demonstrated that Hk2 can improve a linearity without decreasing a sensitivity. This results are quite important for developing magnetic tunnel junctions as spintronic devices
