▲ [10a-Z08-8] Spin-orbit torque induced by a ferromagnetic Fe-Co alloy
Keywords:spin anomalous Hall effect, spin-orbit torque
Magnetization manipulation utilizing spin-orbit torque (SOT) has attracted much attention for its application to energy efficient spintronics device. In general, SOT can be induced by spin current created via the spin Hall effect (SHE) in non-magnetic heavy metals. Vector direction of this kind of SOT are restricted to in-plane direction; thus unfavorable to manipulate an out-of-plane magnetization. Spin current induced by an anomalous Hall effect, referred to as spin-anomalous Hall effect (SAHE), is one of the promising ways to overcome this restriction. However, the detail of SAHE is not yet clear, in particular the magnitude and sign of SAHE were not known even in elemental ferromagnets, such as Fe or Co. Therefore, in this study, we investigated SAHE in Fe-Co binary alloys with different compositions to deeply understand the physics behind.
