Keywords:light trapping, moth eye structure

We develop a light trapping technique using surface nanostructures (moth eye structures) to improve the power conversion efficiency of organic photovoltaics. First, we conduct FDTD optical simulation to find the optimal geometry of moth eye pattern for increasing the photocurrent level. Next, we experimentally fabricate the near-optimal moth eye structure by using nanoimprint lithography, and apply it to the surface of organic photovoltaics to verify the improvement of efficiency.
