Solid-state nanopore technology continues attracting significant research interest owing to potential advantages of robustness and capability of a large-scale integration. Recently, we have developed 4×4 SiN membrane arrays on single chip and associating 16-channel flow cell to study feasibility of an integration of nanopores for practical uses. In this study, a simultaneous fabrication of nanopore array based on dielectric breakdown technique was verified. We also demonstrated a simultaneous detection of single-stranded DNA translocating through the nanopore array. It indicated that our nanopore array system can control the nanopore with nanometer-size and detect small molecules such as DNA by nanopore array.
