[10a-Z25-1] Probing the electric-field behavior in DPh-BTBT OFETs by Sum-Frequency Generation imaging spectroscopy
Keywords:organic field effect transistor, sum frequency generation spectroscopy
In order to clarify the molecular behavior of organic thin films and the distribution of the internal electric field in organic field-effect transistors (OFETs), we have attempted to observe the distribution of the electric field induced by the accumulated charges inside the OFETs during operation using a compressive sensing (CS) SFG imaging technique.
By applying a voltage to the gate electrode, increase in the SFG signal derived from the insulating monolayer at the edge of the source and drain electrodes was observed. This phenomena is due to a strong electric field is generated around the edge of the gold electrode when a gate voltage is applied, and it reaches the gate insulating layer.
