Temperature change due to deformation of PZT composite or PVDF thin film. For the temperature and strain measurement, thermistor and strain gauze are adhered to the samples. Output voltage are also monitored. Temperature changes and strain signals from PZT buzzer and PVDF film sensor are measured. Temperature changes of 0.04K and 0.3K were directly observed from polarized PZT ceramics ramics attached to a metal plate and PVDF thin film laminated with resin, respectively. Since both temperature rise and fall are observed, it is considered that the one of the factors of the temperature change is the elastocaloric effect.
