[10p-Z14-5] Measurement time suppression and noise rejection method for Muography using Cherenkov detector

We aim to apply muography to infrastructures inspection. In this work, measurement time suppression and removal of cosmic-ray electrons, which are background noise, are important issues. Therefor, we propose a measurement time suppression and cosmic-ray electron rejection method by combining a Cherenkov detector and a muography detector. This time, the validity of the method was verified using the cosmic ray spectrum prediction models PARMA and Geant4.
