[10p-Z14-7] Improvement of Energy Resolution in Thallium Bromo-Chloride Detectors

Thallium bromo-chloride (TlBrCl) is a promising material for Cherenkov PET detectors. A TlBrCl crystal was grown by the traveling molten zone method using a zone-purified material in this study. A semiconductor detector was fabricated from the crystal. The TlBrCl detector was tested with a 22Na gamma-ray source. Clear full-energy peaks for 511 keV and 1275 keV gamma-rays from the source were obtained from the detector.
