Resonant tunneling diode (RTD) oscillator is a semiconductor device that can emit continuous wave terahertz radiation at room temperature, which is suitable for real world applications. We performed injection locking of RTDs using phase-locked picosecond terahertz pulses and succeeded in coherently sampling the electric field emitted from RTDs. In this presentation, we report on the ultrafast injection locking dynamics of RTDs.
