The resonant-tunneling-diode oscillator is the semiconductor device which can generate continuous THz wave. It is known that the oscillation frequency of the resonant-tunneling-diode oscillator is affected by the optical feedback. In a certain optical feedback condition, multi-mode oscillation occurs, but this condition has not been specified. We discuss the condition and the mechanism of the multi-mode oscillation.
