A chemical sensor based on an organic field-effect transistor (OFET) integrated with a microfluidic system is a promising platform for environmental assessment and biosensing applications, which enables a decrease in sampling quantity. We herein report sensitive real-time monitoring of analytes using a water-gated OFET attached with a microfluidic chamber, resulting in continuous changes of drain current in accordance with molecular recognition on an organic semiconductor layer.
