[11a-Z17-6] SP-enhanced SHG from NLO polymer/Ag/SiO2 structure

We will report SP-enhanced SHG phenomena of NLO polymer/Ag/SiO2 structure. The metallic thin film exhibits nonlinear susceptibilities and SP resonances boost the nonlinear operations on the metal surfaces. Here, we tried increasing the conversion efficiency of the SP-enhanced SHG by using NLO polymer thin films. We successfully obtained approximately 30-fold increase in the SP-enhanced SHG at the appropriate NLO polymer thickness. We also present the analysis combining the transfer matrix and Green’s function methods.
