The hybrid film system of arachidic acid (C20)-detonation nanodiamond(DND) is formed when an aqueous solution of DND is injected in the subphase of C20. We have already reported that the floating layer can be deposited onto solid supports reproducibly utilizing the horizontal lifting method base on the result of the infrared (IR) spectra. Here we report on the IR spectra of deuterated C20 (C20-d39)-DND hybrid thin films to distinguish the signals of the C20-d39-DND hybrid systems from those of impurities.
