Keywords:donor-acceptor conjugated polymer, bar-coating method, molecular orientation

The exceedingly highly oriented thin film of the donor-acceptor type conjugated polymer PDPPTT was successfully obtained by controlling the coating speed and adjusting the solution concentration in the bar coating method. When the coating speed was set to a low speed of around 20 μm/s, the orientation degree of the polymeric main chain reached 0.9, which means the main chain was aligned almost perfectly. Furthermore, the orientation direction was able to be controlled by adjusting the solution concentration. As a result, thin film with the main chain oriented parallel or perpendicular to the coating direction was obtained. In this talk, the detailed orientation dependence on the film fabrication conditions and the electrical properties of the thin film will be presented.
