We have investigated the coupling efficiencies between the terahertz (THz) vortex beams and metal wires using FDTD simulations. We observed the enhanced surface electric field propagated side by side with the THz vortex beams. It was found that the enhanced field distribution around the wire waveguide was expanded as the wire diameter approached the beam diameter. These calculated results were suggested that the existence of optimum wire diameter as metal mesh-micro array analysis.
