Capillary electrophoresis of acetate and propionic acid was achieved with a thin wall-capillary etched by hydrogen fluoride combined with localized THz spectroscopic detection by using an AR-coated DAST crystal as THz wave source. The detection sensitivity was successfully improved. The two carboxylic acids could be separated, and the time waveforms expected to be comparable for each carboxylic acid were obtained.
