△ [8p-Z19-5] Performance evaluation and improvement of sensitivity for en-face vibration measurement using multifrequency swept OCM

We have evaluated and improved the performance of the vibration measurement sensitivity for the multifrequency optical coherence microscopic vibrometry system previously developed. This system visualized 3D tomographic images and wide-field vibration distribution of the cochlear sensory epithelium of a live guinea pig with a measurement accuracy of 10 nm. In this study, we improved the sensitivity by increasing the frame number of the CMOS image sensor (i.e., data points) for the frequency analysis. The detectable minimum vibration amplitude was 0.45 nm in the non-living sample, which was more accurate than the previous value. Moreover, we could perform precise phase detection at a minimum detectable amplitude. These results indicated that more accurate vibration measurements of the cochlear sensory epithelium of a living animal are possible.
