Keywords:Lithium-ion rechargeable battery, Lumped battery model, Estimation of lumped parameters

In this study, we present a "black box" approach to define a lithium-ion rechargeable battery model using a small set of lumped parameters. This approach can cover all voltage losses of a battery based on the ohmic resistance, charge transfer and diffusion processes. This lumped battery model was built by a versatile analysis software COMSOL Multiphysics. The lumped parameters were estimated by comparing the calculation results with the measured values. Also, the temperature distribution inside the 6s2p battery pack was calculated by coupling the lumped battery model with the heat transfer calculation.
