[9a-Z13-2] Effect of boundary condition on microstadium cavity modes

Takehiro Fukushima1 (1.Okayama Pref. Univ.)

Keywords:Microcavity, Resonator mode, Boundary condition

The optical ray confined in the stadium-shaped cavity exhibits fully chaotic motion. One can find wave chaotic modes having complicated electro-magnetic field distribution when the cavity size is much larger than the resonance wavelength. It is interesting to investigate the formation mechanism of the wave chaotic modes from a viewpoint of fundamental physics. In my talk, I will discuss the effect of the boundary condition on the resonance modes in the stadium-shaped microcavities based on the numerical calculations based on the finite element method.
