△ [9a-Z14-4] Zr-89 whole gamma imaging with a 2-layer DOI GSO scatterer detector
Keywords:Whole gamma imaging, Positron emission tomography, Compton camera
Whole gamma imaging (WGI) is a new concept which utilizes all detectable gamma rays for diagnosis by inserting a scatterer detector ring into a PET ring to add a function of Compton camera. In this study, we focused on the detection of 909 keV gamma ray emitted from 89Zr and developed a new WGI system with a two-layer DOI GSO scatterer detector ring. In the measurement with a 89Zr point source, an angular resolution measure (ARM) of 6.0 degrees was obtained at the center of the field of view. This value is converted to a position accuracy of 4.4 mm in length. It was shown that the new WGI system is capable of 89Zr Compton imaging approaching PET images.
