[9a-Z21-2] Effects of radicals on nanographene synthesis using liquid plasma

The effects of active species and by-products on the rapid synthesis of nano-graphene by in-liquid plasma irradiation in alcohol were investigated. While the synthesis rate was constant independent of irradiation time, the by-product peak increased remarkably and the emission intensity of C2 peak was also constant. On the other hand, the OH emission peak intensity decreased, while the full width at half maximum of the G band peak in the Raman spectrum increased. These results suggest the contribution of C2 and OH radicals to the synthesis rate and crystallinity, respectively.
