[9p-Z07-4] Interface Science in All-Solid-State Batteries using Thin-Film Model Electrodes

Keywords:all-solid-state battery, thin-film, solid-solid interface

Reducing the resitance at the solid-electrolyte and electrode interface is one crucial step toward fabricating high-performance all-solid-state batteries. Model interfaces consisting of thin films of solid electrolytes and electrodes with well-defined structures remain the most promising platforms for elucidating the mechanism of interface resistance at the atomic level. We have been investigating solid-electrolyte/electrode interfaces using all-solid-state thin-film batteries, which consist of thin films of cathode, solid-electrolyte, and anode. We claim that the key to obtaining a low resistive electrolyte/electrode interface is to maintain high crystallinity at the surface of the electrode materials.
