[9p-Z11-7] Synthesis and Electron Transport Properties of π-Conjugated Polymers Based on Ester- and Imide-Functionalized Quinoxaline

In this study, we report on the synthesis, electrochemical and optical properties, and charge carrier transport characteristics of π-conjugated polymers based on ester- and imide-functionalized quinoxaline. We found that these polymers had deep LUMO energy levels and electron transporting properties. This study is the first example of n-type character observed in quinoxaline-based polymers. The results demonstrate the great potential of ester- and imide-functionalized quinoxaline as the building units for high-performance n-type semiconducting polymers that can be used in organic electronic devices.
