A charging technology using optical wireless power supply is promising to realize the long-time operation of the underwater explorer in seawater. In this study, we carried out the experiments of optical wireless power transmission by using 3 types of lasers with 609 nm, 520 nm, and 450 nm wavelength, which have a high transmittance in seawater.
As a result, the power transmission efficiency was highest when the 520 nm wavelength laser was used among the three types.
