Keywords:real-time measurement, neutron, silicon diode

A real-time neutron detector has been developed to measure BNCT neutron beams. This detector consists of thin Si pn diode and ultra-thin LiF vaporated neutron converter. Characterization of the neutron detector was performed at Institute of Integrated Radiation and Nuclear Science, Kyoto University. The neutron detector can separate BNCT neutron beams from co-existing gamma rays, perfectly. A depth dose profile of BNCT neutron beam was experimentally obtained at National Cancer Center Research. This results agreed with the evaluated values by gold activation technique.
